Wellington Wines
Where wines are born
From the ‘Valley of the Wagons’ came two separate stories ‒ the Wamakersvallei tale together with Wellington Wynkelder’s legend. However both had the same goal in mind, a central cellar for pressing grapes. After years of separation, the two cellars couldn’t ignore the synergies anymore and decided to take the future head on. Together.
Wellington Wynkelder and Wamakersvallei amalgamated on 21 December 2010 to become a force to be reckoned with. Today Wellington Wines is a very attractive proposition for big contracts because of the cellar’s potential to make high volumes of excellent quality wine.
With Woolworths being its biggest buyer for brand specific wines, Wellington Wines became popular wine designers ‒ a one stop production solution to many wine distributors, buyers and lovers.
