Spookfontein is home to an unbelievable selection of birdlife ranging from the gracious blue cranes to buzzards, owls and hoopoes. The farm has more than 100 hectares of fynbos stretching up the mountainside to border Hermanus’s Fernkloof nature reserve at its highest point.

We are a boutique, hands-on winery, very much red Bordeaux variety orientated, and comprising 11ha of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir grapes.

We keep our winemaking style simple and true to the character of the land and soil.
