Oubenheim Estate
The very first wine estate in the Olifants River Valley region
Oubenheim, the first wine estate in the Olifants River Valley, belongs to the Viljoen family. A proud tradition of fine wine making is still practised by the third generation of Viljoens today, combining the characteristics of the old and new world.
Our wine is produced as naturally as possible and undergoes minimum filtration to maintain maximum aroma and flavour. There may therefore be a natural sediment in the bottle. This wine is matured in small oak barrels for several months.
Oubenheim is approximately 300 km from Cape Town on the West Coast of South Africa, 20km from the sea, near a town called Vredendal.
