Mellasat Vineyards
Outstanding, award-winning wines from the South African Cape
Mellasat vineyard is situated in Paarl, South Africa and was created by the Richardson family in 1996 from part of the original farm, Dekkersvlei, which dates back to 1693.
An independent, family-run winegrower, Mellasat produces outstanding, award-winning wines from the South African Cape. Owned and operated by an English family, the Richardsons, Mellasat wines reflect the sheer natural beauty of the Paarl region.
As a small boutique winery, in an ever competitive market, our aim is to distance ourselves from the average “volume” producer and the perception that South African wine comes at a cheaper price point than other wine producing countries.
