Langverwacht Cellar
Turning nature into art
Langverwacht Cellar on the Stormsvlei Road was built to receive the first crop in 1956. The cellar receives 10000 tons of grapes per annum of which 85% is white.
The main cultivars are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Colombar. On the red side, the main cultivars are Merlot, Shiraz, Ruby Cabernet and Cabernet Sauvignon. A new red wine fermentation cellar was built in 2000.
Langverwacht is well known for its Chardonnay, Colomabar and Shiraz. The climate and soil is of great importance in achieving this goal. Only the top quality grapes are used for the wines to be bottled, the rest of the wines are sold in bulk. Wines are for sale at the cellar.
