Da Capo Vineyards
The vineyards are located in the southernmost part of the Stellenbosch wine region, near Sir Lowry’s Pass, overlooking False Bay. Some of the rarer Italian and Mediterranean grape varietals have been planted, plus many clones of the more traditional noble varietals.
The name ‘Da Capo’ means ‘From the beginning’ in Italian, a reference to the fact that the first vines were planted from scratch in 1999. The Da Capo vision is to produce a wide range of rich, interesting and exciting wines expressed in a Cape idiom.
The family also owns Whalehaven Winery in Hermanus.
