Owned by Anthony Hamilton Russell, the proprietor of the more famous Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Ashbourne is a 113 ha property lying adjacent to Hamilton Russell, on its Eastern border. Ashbourne does not have its own winery buildings or tasting room.

While Hamilton Russell specializes in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Ashbourne produces one red blend and one white blend. Both blends are elegant and lean towards the old world style. The red is a Pinotage based blend and the white is about 3 fourths Sauvignon Blanc.

While this winery does not have a tasting room, we definitely recommend a visit to the town of Hermanus and the Hamilton Russell tasting room. September brings the Southern Right whales which are another good reason to visit.
